This project required a custom-built, filmic look engineered to travel seamlessly across the film's entire narrative arc: from late evening through the deepest night to early morning.
This involved tactfully managing highly challenging night and day-for-night sequences that relied solely on exterior available light for exposure as well as the added complexity of unifying mixed-temperature lighting into a cohesive sodium vapor aesthetic to meet the director’s creative vision.
This was achieved by leveraging a proprietary, node-tree-based system - including native DaVinci Resolve tools, advanced DCTLs, and custom-built analog film FX - to ensure the film’s artistic vision and fast iteration.
All executed under a strict 5-day deadline to meet festival distribution goals.
